The ideal first employer for newly qualified nurses and midwives
Starting a new career is exciting but we know it can also be daunting.
UCLH offers newly qualified nurses a preceptorship programme which has been designed to help you develop confidence and competence as you start your new role in nursing or midwifery.
During your first year at UCLH you will be fully supported by a named preceptor, clinical practice facilitator (CPF) and a clinical lead, who will be available to answer all your questions and provide pastoral support as you launch your career.
A career-long focus on learning, research and education
Our close relationship with University College London (UCL) makes us one of the best teaching hospitals in the country. We provide plenty of opportunities for development and education throughout your career with us, whether you prefer ward-based on-the-job training, classroom-based learning or a mentoring approach. Whatever stage you are at in you career, or whether you are looking for a nursing apprenticeship, undergraduate, or postgraduate education, we have a programme that will work for you.
We will help you develop and progress your career in nursing through both clinical and non-clinical courses and opportunities which will support your lifelong learning and development.
Outstanding staff experience
