Professional background

Professor Rob Miller was educated at University College London and St George's Hospital Medical School. He trained in general medicine, respiratory medicine, and intensive care.

He was appointed honorary consultant physician in 1991. He is also reader in clinical infection at University College London, and honorary professor at The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Rob is editor-in-chief of British Journal of Hospital Medicine.

Research interests

His research focuses on the respiratory complications of HIV infection, specifically pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia and tuberculosis, ICU outcomes for HIV-infected patients, and infectious and malignant pleural disease among the general population.
