Professional background
Dr Urquhart is Divisional Clinical Director, Clinical Support Services and was previously UCLH chief pharmacist from 2003-2021. He was previously chief pharmacist at Ealing Hospital.
He qualified from the Welsh School of Pharmacy in 1985 and obtained his doctorate in 1990.
Robert has worked at a number of London hospitals, including Ealing, The Royal Free, Guy's & St Thomas's, The Whittington.
Research interests
Dr Urquhart has particular interests in medication safety, the use of technology to improve efficiency and patient safety and ensuring cost effective use of medicines.
