Appointed stakeholder governor for London South Bank University

Rachel has a diverse portfolio covering operational, strategic, commissioning, commercial, consultancy and board level work in acute, primary, social care and charity settings. Rachel is currently the Deputy Dean of Allied Health, Social Care and Advanced Practice within the School of Health and Social Care at London South Bank University.

Having qualified as a diagnostic radiographer in 1989, Rachel has worked in the NHS and in private practice, specialising in breast cancer care and screening. Rachel moved into workforce development and project leadership roles in 2003 and has worked in many consultancy roles; she was the first Managing Director for Central London Healthcare, and a CQC inspector and specialist advisor from 2013-2018. Rachel became Associate Professor for Radiography at LSBU in 2017 and has since become the Head of Department for Allied Health.

Rachel started an award-winning high street business in 2009 and remains committed to the area of domestic abuse, serving as a trustee for a local charity until 2018.
