Congratulations to our six new governors, who took their seats on the council.

This year’s election saw six new governors elected to our council and three existing governors re-elected. Speaking about her successful nomination to our Council of Governors, new staff governor and quality improvement lead in our emergency services division, Lami Akinsanya (pictured left) said: “I really want to be a positive voice representing staff across all levels of our organisation and hopefully make UCLH an even better place to work for all our staff, whatever they do and whatever their background.”

Patient governor Kevin Lau (left) said: “I’ve been a patient at UCLH since 2019 and one of the reasons I wanted to become a governor was to give something back. It’s a great way to feed back about my experience as a patient to enhance the patient experience for everyone.”

Our Council of Governors recently met in person for the first time in more than two years to discuss topics such as how they can engage with and represent our members; including patients, public and staff.  If you would like to talk to one of the Governors or are interested in hearing more about the work of Governors and UCLH Membership please contact uclh.governors@nhs.net
