Professional background

Dr Lynch is a consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He sees patients with all types of neurological disease in his general neurology clinics, and he has a particular interest in patients with inherited disorders of white matter, also called leukodystrophies. He helped to develop and now leads the adult service of the NHS England Highly Specialist Service for Inherited White Matter Disorders, a national service which aims to provide high quality care for patients affected by these rare conditions.
