She was appointed to the Higher Specialist Training Programme in Gastroenterology and General Internal Medicine in London, predominantly at Barts and the London Hospital, during which time she undertook a PhD investigating the association between Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and functional GI disorders . She then continued her research as an NIHR clinical lecturer post at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. After 6 years as a Neurogastroenterology consultant at the Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust, she moved to University College Hospital to be part of the multidisciplinary Neurogastroenterology team there.

Research interests
