Professional background

David Doig is a consultant radiologist at UCLH NHS Foundation Trust with expertise in adult and paediatric neuroradiology.

He has degrees in medicine and clinical neuroscience from the University of Glasgow. He trained in general medicine and then general radiology at Glasgow Royal Infirmary and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, obtaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians and fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists. He was awarded a research degree in stroke medicine at University College London and has completed a neuroradiology fellowship based primarily at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.

He has an interest in medical education and has taught, examined, and supervised students on degree courses at University College London. He has written several book chapters on the topic of stroke medicine, and has been a reviewer for the American Journal of Roentgenology (AJR).
