Professional background
Diego Kaski is a consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, honorary associate professor at University College London, and honorary senior lecturer at Imperial College London.
His special clinical interests are the diagnosis and treatment of dizziness, balance and eye movement disorders. He runs vestibular neurology clinics at the Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals and an acute vertigo clinic at UCLH. He runs a multi-disciplinary ocular motility clinic with the department of neuro-ophthalmology, and MDT educational sessions for vestibular migraine and functional dizziness at NHNN.
Dr Kaski is an active teacher in vestibular neurology, regular International invited speaker on vestibular neuroscience topics, and runs a popular dizziness and balance workshop for medical professionals in London.
Dr Kaski is a contributor and content editor for Neuro-otology for the European Academy of Neurology e-Brain e-learning resource.
Research interests
Diego Kaski is an international leader in vestibular neuroscience, with major publications in high-impact journals, including Nature Genetics, BMJ, Lancet Neurology, and Annals of Internal Medicine.
He set up and heads the Centre for Behavioural and Vestibular Neurosciences within the Department of Clinical and Motor Neurosciences at UCL, and lead an active group of research exploring the neural mechanisms of spatial orientation and multisensory integration, with a strong translational element that aims to develop novel clinical biomarkers and therapies for vestibular disorders.
