Professional background
Dr Prasad Korlipara is a consultant neurologist in the Queen Square movement disorders group of the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery (NHNN), Queen Square.
After graduation, he trained in general medicine in the Hammersmith Hospitals NHS Trust and Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust. He was then awarded a Medical Research Council clinical training fellowship, during which he undertook research studying the molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration in Parkinson's disease, which led to the award of his doctorate from the University of London.
Dr Korlipara has published and lectured nationally and internationally in Parkinson's disease. He currently runs a tertiary movement disorders service at the NHNN to which patients with complex or severe movement disorders are referred from across the country.
