Professional background

Mr Jeremy Lavy qualified in 1988 from St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College. After house jobs he was a demonstrator in anatomy at Cambridge University. He completed postgraduate training in surgery in Bath, Oxford, Bristol and Exeter. 

He was appointed registrar in ENT in 1996 to Royal Free/Barnet general hospitals. He then went on to complete a six year rotation including a fellowship in otology and skull base surgery in Sydney, Australia. Mr Lavy was appointed as consultant at the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital (RNTNEH) in 2000. 

He took over as director of the University College London/RNTNEH cochlear implant programme 2005.  He served on the council at the BCIG (British Cochlear Implant Group) from 2006-2010, and is presently a council member of the British Society for Otology and the Royal Society of Medicine Otology Section.

He now exclusively practices ear surgery and has the largest stapedectomy practice in the UK.
