Professional background

Konstantinos Doufekas was appointed as a consultant in Gynaecological Oncology at University College London Hospital in 2016.
He underwent post graduate Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in Nottingham before completing his RCOG sub-specialist Gynaecological Cancer training at University College London Hospital. During his subspecialty training he received an HCA international travelling scholarship award to Odense University Hospital in Denmark.
He has RCOG sub-specialist accreditation in gynaecological cancer, colposcopy, and minimal access surgery. His accreditation in minimal access surgery includes robotic surgery for Gynaecological Cancer.

He is a member of the British Gynaecological Cancer Society, British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology and European Society of Gynaecological Oncology.

He has a particular interest in the quality of life of women after treatment for cancer and has edited a book on ‘Survival after Treatment for Gynaecological Cancer- dealing with treatment related morbidity’.

His research interests include endometrial and ovarian cancer and has presented his work at both national and international conferences.
In addition, he has a keen interest in medical education and is a facilitator and instructor at the Connected National Advanced Communication Skills Training Course (ACST).
