Professional background

Hala Kanona is a consultant otologist and auditory implant surgeon at The Royal National ENT Hospital, University College London Hospitals. She graduated from The University Of Birmingham and completed Higher Surgical Training in leading centres such as Great Ormond Street, The Royal London Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust) and the Royal National ENT Hospital (UCLH) where she also undertook an Advanced Otology and Auditory Implant Fellowship.

She was awarded the CWJ Fellowship Grant to visit a leading European otology centre in Nijmegen. She became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2011 and is a member of the British Society of Otology. Her interests include neurotology, auditory implantation and facial palsy.
