Professional background

Dr Alice Carter graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2003, then trained in Leeds and London in medicine, anaesthesia and critical care. She joined UCLH as a substantive consultant in critical care and anaesthesia in 2016.

As a consultant she has further developed her interest in medical education at both under and post-graduate level. She has undertaken a variety of roles including Training Programme Director (TPD) for Foundation Doctors at UCLH, TPD for Intensive Care Medicine across London and Associate Dean (Distribution) for HEE London. She currently works for NHSE as the Associate Dean/ Director of the London Foundation School and is Regional Advisor (FICM) for North Central London.
