Preceptorship
Designed to support newly qualified nurses and nursing associates, its aim is to help you develop confidence and competence. As a preceptee you will be fully supported by named preceptor, CPFs and clinical lead in this 12 month programme.
Careers service
UCLH offers a careers service. Our dedicated career service lead would provide a strength based careers conversations focusing on your experiences and what is important to you in your career and development. This will help you gain a deeper understanding into your personal strengths and help you to take your career to the next level.
Staff discounts

All our nurses and midwives can access our Careers Service. The service offers a range of support for nurses and midwives to support them to get the most out of their career, achieve an improved sense of job satisfaction and increase the opportunities open to them.
The service offers a bespoke one to one consultation and can include:

- Efficient transferring into other roles within the Trust after 12 months working for the Trust
- Professional and personal development planning

It could be a strengths-based careers conversation with one of careers facilitators to help you take on additional responsibility and expand your skill-set. Perhaps you want to find out about new roles within the trust, and transfer into a difference department or service without the stress and administration burden of going through a full recruitment application.
The service provides a supportive space for you to identify what is important to you in your professional and working life and make a plan to achieve your career goals.
