Professional background

Dr Abu Al-Saad joined UCLH as a consultant in 2017 after completion of training and joint accreditation in intensive care medicine and anaesthesia in East of England. Her roles include improving clinical governance, incident and case review as well as educational supervision for trainees and fellows in anaesthesia, critical care, internal medicine and emergency medicine.

In tandem with her anaesthesia and critical care training, she completed his MSc in tropical medicine and international health at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2009 and a BSc in politics and international relations from the London School of Economics in 2014.

She is a full member of the Faculty of Public Health by examination.
