At UCLH, the Women's Health team vision is "Better lives for women and babies across the world"

Who are we?

For the past century, we have provided services for women and their babies in our Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Hospital. This institution was founded by its namesake, the first female doctor to be trained in Britain, and has a long history of advancing women's health care.

In 2008, the majority of women's health services moved to the purpose-built new Elizabeth Garrett Anderson (EGA) Wing. This new facility brings the best of our history of innovation together with the latest technology and facilities.

What we do

We offer a full range of women's health care needs, including maternity care, care for your newborn, breast care and a wide range of both general and specialist gynaecological care. We are part of the world-renowned Institute for Women's Health, bringing together the clinical strength of UCLH and research expertise of UCL biomedical centre.
