The TTP and platelet disorder support group provides a safe space to talk to others, share experiences or simply listen. The group is facilitated by a support and information specialist and a clinical nurse specialist.
Who can join the group?
The group is for anyone affected by TTP or a platelet disorder, including patients and their family members, carers and friends.
When is the group held?
The group meets on the 2nd Monday of each 2nd month, from 1.30pm to 3.15pm.
During the first hour and 15 minutes, a clinical nurse specialist and a support and information specialist facilitate the group. After that, you’ll have another
30 minutes to keep talking together.
Where does the group take place?
You can join either in person (at the Macmillan Support and Information Service on the ground floor of the Macmillan Cancer Centre) or online (on Zoom).

Information for people attending the group in person

Please don't come to the Cancer Centre if you have a cold, cough, sore throat or any flu-like symptoms.

If possible, please arrive 15 minutes before the group starts. This will give you time to greet the other members of the group beforehand.
