  Based at the Royal National Ear, Nose and Throat and Eastman Dental Hospitals in Huntley Street. The audiologists provide an audiology led clinic (ALC) as well as supporting tertiary level medical clinics within ear, nose, and throat and, audiovestibular medicine services.

  The specialist allergy and clinical immunology service deals with the diagnosis and management of allergies and related immune system disorders in adults.

• Acute Medical Unit (AMU)

  The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a 56-bed unit located on the first floor of University College Hospital. Its primary role is to provide rapid definitive assessment, investigation and treatment for patients admitted urgently or as an emergency from the Emergency Department, and/or referred by their GP.

• Acupuncture for chronic pain and headache

  Acupuncture is the insertion of solid needles into the body to improve health. The needles are very fine, much thinner than needles used to give injections or take blood samples. We use sterile needles. They are disposable and never reused.
