The Ladies’ Samaritan Society 

The Society is a registered charity (no: 207373) administered by trustees who give their time on a voluntary basis.

Our aims

The Society exists to help alleviate those problems which can arise for  patients at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery through illness or hospitalization. We are able to make grants towards the provision of essential equipment for patients’ use at home, contributions towards holiday and respite care, also help with travel and accommodation expenses.

Fund raising

The Society holds various fund-raising events throughout the year, the proceeds of which increase our carefully invested endowments. We also rely heavily on the generosity of those who donate to the Society or support our cause by fund-raising events or through sponsorship of their activities.

How we can help you

Individual needs are brought to our attention by the medical and nursing staff of 'The National', the Hospital Chaplain or the social workers at the National Centre for Epilepsy at Chalfont.
