Hospitals at UCLH feature on list of world’s best

In the annual Newsweek release of the best specialist hospitals in the world UCLH has ranked in the top 10 for three of the specialisms measured:

UCLH Chief Executive, David Probert said: “To be represented as amongst the best in the world gives us a great sense of pride. It is a reflection of the incredible work that teams do in striving for the best possible care, experience and outcomes for our patients.”

Newsweek, in collaboration with global market research and consumer data company Statista, formed an expert panel of medical professionals and medical journalists to assess thousands of hospitals globally. To make its assessments, the panel used data from three sources:

1. Hospital recommendations provided by a survey of medical experts, including physicians, hospital managers, and health care professionals
2. Patient experience survey data
3. Medical performance metrics on hospitals
