Junior doctors and consultants at UCLH will be taking strike action every day from 7am on Monday 2 October to 7am Thursday 5 October.

Radiographers at UCLH will also be on strike from 8am on Tuesday 3 October until 8am on Wednesday 4 October.

There will also be strikes affecting the national rail network on 4 and 6 October, which will have a significant impact on these services. Please note that services are likely to be disrupted the following morning, after strike days, too.

UCLH will prioritise care in its emergency department for patients with a life-threatening illness or injury. Patients who do not have a life-threatening condition may be directed to other healthcare providers.

We are working hard to minimise disruption to non-emergency services and maintain patient safety during this time. If we need to rearrange any appointments, we will contact patients directly to let them know. If you have an appointment at any of our hospitals, please assume this is going ahead unless you have been told otherwise. If you’re concerned and feel you need to speak to someone, please contact your clinical team using the contact information on your appointment letter or on our website.

If you need medical help or advice, go to NHS 111 online www.111.nhs.uk or call 111, unless it is a life-threatening emergency when you should still call 999.

Our maternity services and emergency department remain open – please do attend as normal if you need urgent care.

If you’re still concerned then you can find details of our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)on our website
