The British Medical Association (BMA), the Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association (HCSA) and British Dental Association (BDA) are taking industrial action for consultants and consultant dentists. The strike will run from 7am on Thursday 20 July until 7am on Saturday 22 July.

The Society of Radiographers (SoR) is taking industrial action from 8am on Tuesday 25 July to 8am on Thursday 27 July.

The strike action will impact all UCLH hospitals.

UCLH will prioritise care in its emergency department for patients with a life-threatening illness or injury. We are working hard to ensure we minimise disruption to services and maintain patient safety during this time.

If we need to rearrange any appointments, we will contact patients directly to let them know. If you have an appointment at any of our hospitals, please assume this is going ahead unless you have been told otherwise. If you’re concerned and feel you need to speak to someone, please contact your clinical team using the contact information on your appointment letter or on our website.

If you need medical help or advice, go to NHS 111 online www.111.nhs.uk or call 111, unless it is a life-threatening emergency when you should still call 999.

Our maternity services and emergency department remain open – please do attend as normal if you need urgent care.

If you’re still concerned then you can find details of our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on our website.
