UCLH specialties ranked among world’s best

Newsweek have released their annual list of the best specialist hospitals in the world for 2024. Four of UCLH’s specialties have ranked in the top 10 for their fields.

UCLH Chief Executive, David Probert said:

“I am extremely proud to see us represented here, among the world’s very best. Once again, the dedication of our teams in striving for the best possible care, experience and outcomes for our patients has been recognised and this is a wonderful achievement.”

Newsweek, in collaboration with global market research and consumer data company Statista, formed an expert panel of medical professionals and medical journalists to assess thousands of hospitals globally. This is the first year they’ve included rankings for obstetrics and gynaecology, for which we are listed second in the world.

To make its assessments, the panel used data from three sources:

1. Hospital recommendations provided by a survey of medical experts, including physicians, hospital managers, and health care professionals
2. Patient experience survey data
3. Medical performance metrics on hospitals
