UCLH has been confirmed as a key partner in the development of neighbourhood health services in north central London.
As part of the Government’s plans to create a neighbourhood health service in England, UCLH has been confirmed as a key partner in new arrangements to provide more joined-up care in our area between hospitals, GPs, community services, mental health services, local councils and the voluntary sector.
This new way of working, known as ‘integrator’ arrangements, aims to strengthen collaboration across partners and lay the foundations for more proactive, integrated and equitable care for the communities we serve.
In Camden, UCLH has been confirmed as the joint integrator for the borough working with the Camden GP Federations.
For Islington, UCLH is part of an alliance of four local organisations including UCLH, Whittington Health, Islington Council and Islington GP Federation who will collectively act as the integrator.
In both areas, the aim is to turn our collective ambitions for neighbourhood health into a reality – improving population health, tackling inequalities, and moving more care closer to home through prevention, early intervention, and more joined-up local services.
Jo Moss, UCLH director of strategy, said:
“We’re delighted that UCLH has been confirmed as the joint Camden integrator with the Camden GP Federations, as well as part of the integrator alliance for Islington. We look forward to deepening our collaboration with local partners to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.”
