Professional background

Dr Claire Martyn-Simmons is a consultant dermatologist and the clinical lead for dermatology at UCLH.

She has a special interest in medical dermatology including psoriasis, immunobullous and adolescent skin diseases and in 2011, set up the UK’s first dedicated adolescent dermatology clinic at UCH, Europe’s largest adolescent unit. In addition she sees general dermatology, paediatric and skin cancer patients. 

Claire graduated from University College London and Middlesex school of Medicine and undertook her dermatology training at King’s College Hospital and Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals. Following completion of her training she undertook both a fellowship in Medical Dermatology and an MD research degree in the field of psoriasis at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology, King’s College London.
