He has two subspecialties in sleep medicine (European Sleep Research Society) and EEG (Swiss Society of Clinical Neurophysiology). He completed a clinical fellowship in autonomic neurology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
Since 2024, Dr Chiaro has served as a consultant neurologist at the Autonomic Unit. His responsibilities include running specialist autonomic clinics, providing care to inpatients with autonomic disorders, and leading a weekly autonomic Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meeting. He is the consultant lead for the autoimmune autonomic disorders clinic.
