Professional background
Dr James Goddin is a consultant in adult critical care medicine at UCLH with a specialist interest in the transportation of critically unwell patients.
He qualified in medicine from University College London Medical School with distinction in 2011 and completed anaesthesia and intensive care medicine training within the London region with additional time spent at a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service. He holds post graduate professional qualifications from the Royal College of Anaesthesia, FRCA and FFICM, the Royal College of Emergency Medicine, MRCEM and the Royal College of Physicians, MRCP. He was awarded the 2022 Humphry Davy award for regional London work carried out during the covid pandemic.
He holds a dual appointment at Whittington Health NHS Trust as a consultant in adult critical care medicine and holds leadership responsibilities at Barts Health NHS Trust for London’s adult critical care transfer service, ACCESS.
