Professional background

Dr Lucrezia de Braud obtained her medical degree from the University of Milan in 2013 and completed her Obstetrics and Gynaecology residency with honours in 2019. She spent five years working as a clinical research fellow at University College London Hospital under the supervision of Professor Davor Jurkovic.

During her fellowship she underwent advanced training in gynaecological ultrasound and became an expert in the diagnosis and management of a wide variety of gynaecological abnormalities. She has also been engaged in the academic activity in the department and has developed collaboration with Sorbonne University in Paris on a project looking at the use of artificial intelligence for improving ultrasound diagnosis in early pregnancy.

Lucrezia has also been working in the Reproductive Medicine Unit at UCH and has developed skills in the investigation and management of subfertile couples, assisted conception techniques and menopause.

Her main research interests include the use of ultrasound in the diagnosis and management of ectopic pregnancies, early pregnancy complications and benign gynaecological conditions such uterine anomalies and endometriosis.
