Professional background

Dr Suzan Hatipoglu is a consultant cardiologist with a specialist interest in cardio-oncology, cardiac amyloidosis, heart failure and cardiovascular imaging. She provides a regular clinic service in cardio-oncology at University College London Hospital and in cardiac amyloidosis at the National Amyloidosis Centre.

Dr Hatipoglu graduated from the Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty in Istanbul with honours and trained initially at the prestigious Cardiothoracic Centre in Istanbul, Turkey. She undertook a clinical imaging fellowship in CMR (cardiac MRI) and advanced cardiac imaging at Royal Brompton Hospital.

She is committed to improving patient care via service development and achieved a MSc degree in Patient Safety from Imperial College London. She has been awarded Fellowships from the Royal College of Physicians, European Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance in recognition of her contribution to research and excellence in patient care.
