Professional background

Dr Ursala Jogezai is a consultant in restorative dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital, and a specialist in restorative dentistry. 

Ursala graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from De’Mont Morency College of Dentistry in Lahore, Pakistan. She subsequently completed an MBA in International Business from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia and later obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Sheffield. 

She completed her dental foundation training in Pakistan. After moving to the UK, Ursala passed her overseas registration examination in 2011 and began working in general dental practice in Southeast London. In 2014, she joined hospital dentistry and undertook a broad range of dental core training posts in community dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and restorative dentistry across multiple dental hospitals including Birmingham Dental Hospital and Edinburgh Dental Institute. She completed her specialty training in restorative dentistry at the Eastman Dental Hospital (UCLH) in 2025. During the same year, Ursala was appointed as consultant in restorative dentistry in the department of prosthodontics at UCLH. 

Ursala’s clinical practice encompasses all areas of restorative dentistry, with specialist interests in prosthodontics, periodontology, implant dentistry and multidisciplinary rehabilitation of complex cases. Her work focuses on the management and oral rehabilitation of patients following head and neck cancer.  

Alongside her clinical role, Ursala has a strong commitment to teaching. She is an examiner for the Overseas Registration Examination (ORE) and has been involved in teaching undergraduate students, dental core trainees, and general dental practitioners. She holds a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
