Professional background

Miss Heléna Gresty is a consultant urological surgeon at UCLH and a member of the Functional, Reconstructive and Adolescent Urology (FRA) team. She qualified from the University of Oxford and completed surgical training in the North London Deanery. She undertook a fellowship at UCLH prior to her appointment as consultant in 2021. She holds a BMBCh BA (Oxon) and FRCS (Urol). 

Her clinical interests include female, functional and reconstructive urology and the management of mesh-related complications. She provides specialist assessment and multidisciplinary care for women and men with complex pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence and complications of previous pelvic surgery.

She works within the London Complex Mesh Centre (LCMC) to manage injuries resulting from continence and prolapse mesh implants.

Miss Gresty is lead for Postgraduate Medical Education in Urology at UCLH and is actively involved in teaching and training. She is research active, with publications in functional and reconstructive urology, and regularly speaks and presents at national and international meetings.
