Professional background

Clinical lead for thoracic surgery at University College Hospital at Westmoreland Street. Mr Patrini undertook his specialist training in Milan, Italy and in the University College London Hospitals (UCLH). He has been a member of the thoracic unit in UCLH since 2014.

He contributed to more than 80 scientific articles and has made many presentations in national and international meetings, being also author of six book chapters. Mr. Patrini is reviewer of many scientific journals and ordinary member of several scientific societies: ESTS, EACTS, STS, IASCLC and different interest groups (Chest Wall Interest Group, International Mesothelioma Interest group, International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group). His main interests are lung and thymic tumours, thoracic surgical oncology, pleura and lung benign diseases.
