Finishing cancer treatment is an important step in your recovery. Many people feel relieved when their treatment ends, but it’s also normal to feel anxious or uncertain. This page explains what happens next and where to find support.
Your healthcare team will explain your end-of-treatment plan. This should include:
- when your follow-up appointment is
- any tests you’ll need
- symptoms to look out for
If you haven’t got this information, please contact your healthcare team.
We run a regular event, called ‘What’s Next?’ for people who have recently finished cancer treatment, or are on maintenance treatment.
The event includes support, information and practical advice on:
- managing the emotional challenges of finishing treatment
- being active
- diet and nutrition
- managing fatigue
You can also share experiences with other people who’ve recently had cancer treatment.
