What will happen

We will ask you to give a urine sample

One of our midwives will

  • listen to the baby’s heartbeat

  • and take your blood pressure
MFAU_EasyRead_10.png

We will give you a colour based on how urgent your situation is

MFAU_EasyRead_11.png A second midwife will then see you and may do more tests
MFAU_EasyRead_12.png Women who are more unwell will be seen more quickly - even if they come to the unit after you
MFAU_EasyRead_13.png If you have problems before 14 weeks of your pregnancy, contact the Early Pregnancy Unit on
