From Monday 20 May, two-factor authentication (2FA) will add an extra layer of security to your EpicCare Link UCLH account.
With 2FA, when you log into your account with your password, you also need a secondary verification method such as a code generated by an authenticator app or sent to your email.
You can use a recognised authenticator app available for free from the Apple Store or Google play, e.g., Epic Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Google Authenticator.
When you try to log into EpicCare Link and see an on-screen prompt to use two-factor authentication, please follow the instructions on screen to get started.
When you set up two-factor authentication (2FA), you choose to receive your authentication code by email or an app. First check if you have received your code before contacting your Site Administrator for help. Otherwise, use your 2FA reset code you should have recorded during setup. If you still have problems, your local Site Administrator can help reset your 2FA.
If you are having problems with your password, or you have forgotten your password challenge questions, your local Site Administrator can reset your password for you.
If your Site Administrator is unable to reset your password for you, or if you have not set your challenging questions or have forgotten these, you should use the password reset request form. Note that this is likely to take much longer than going directly through your local Site Administrator.
