EMIS have confirmed to TDL (The Doctors Laboratory) that the recent EMIS national outage caused a message backlog of results messaging going through Keystone to certain GP practice management systems.
EMIS have confirmed that the message backlogs were a result of the Crowdstrike issue on Friday and recovery from this.
When EMIS turned messaging back on after the Friday incident and commenced re-transmission of delayed messages, a large volume acknowledgement messages were received.
This in turn then generated backlogs with new messages which EMIS worked to clear down.
TDL currently observe no backlogs in messaging and the system is working normally.
Usual telephone protocols apply to communication of abnormal results during this period.
