First patients getting individualised risk-reducing therapy for melanoma

The X-ray GP Direct Access service for patients has returned to a fully walk-in service, although we will review this decision regularly and let you know if we make changes to the service.
Request forms should be given to the patient to bring with them when they attend for their X-ray. The form must be signed with a wet signature, or state the GPs name and GMC number. Request forms continue to have a 3-month expiration date.
Opening times for X-ray, Lower Ground Floor, UCH, 235 Euston Road for GP patients are as follows:
Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:30
Less busy times for patients are Tuesdays and Thursdays 08:30 - 17:30
Please inform your patients that they may now attend for their X-ray without the need for an appointment. Please be aware they may have to wait to be seen on their arrival if the department is busy.
If we have already received a referral for a patient, we will attempt to contact the patient and inform them to walk in for their X-ray. If we cannot reach the patient by phone, we will send them a letter.
