Volunteers are a highly valued part of the team at UCLH. Volunteering is a great way of giving back, doing something different and get some experience. Roles tend to be for a minimum of half a day a week for 6 months. For most of our roles you don’t necessarily need have to have prior experience as the key things we are looking for are great people skills and an ability to give us a regular commitment.

Our vascular service has a major emphasis on endovascular (minimally invasive) treatments for vascular diseases, and this approach has largely replaced conventional open vascular surgery at UCLH.

We work together closely to support and improve the health of people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes via education, training, research and through other services that we provide. Our team works in close collaboration with ophthalmologists, vascular surgeons, endocrine surgeons, obstetricians and paediatricians.

Our endocrinology service provides care for patients with a broad range of endocrine conditions in outpatient clinics, as well as after inpatient endocrine emergencies. It also provides a consultation service for inpatients with endocrine conditions.
