Our colorectal service fast-tracks investigations for the management of all suspected colorectal cancer. It also provides specialist surgical treatment for some patients within the North Central London sector who are diagnosed with bowel cancer under the NHS bowel cancer screening programme based at UCLH.

The Intestinal Failure (IF) Service at UCH is a multidisciplinary service managing the complex needs of patients with gastrointestinal fistulas. The team includes consultant surgeons, anaesthetists, radiologists and nutritional gastroenterologists, as well as specialist nurses with expertise in this area. At UCH we aim to assess patients referred to us quickly and plan every aspect of their care effectively.

We work together closely to support and improve the health of people with type 1 and type 2 diabetes via education, training, research and through other services that we provide. Our team works in close collaboration with ophthalmologists, vascular surgeons, endocrine surgeons, obstetricians and paediatricians.

Our endocrinology service provides care for patients with a broad range of endocrine conditions in outpatient clinics, as well as after inpatient endocrine emergencies. It also provides a consultation service for inpatients with endocrine conditions.
