Members of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) are taking continuous industrial action from 8pm on Sunday 30 April to 8pm on Tuesday 2 May. The strike action will impact all UCLH hospitals.

The DiaMEETes will run in-person at UCLH on Tuesday 30th May from 1pm-4pm for children under the UCLH diabetes team, aged 9-11. An endoscopy is a technique used to examine of any part of the interior of the body through an optical viewing instrument. This can be through the mouth into the stomach (gastroscopy), through the anus into the large bowel (colonoscopy), or through the nose into the lungs (bronchoscopy).

The department provides clinical services to treat the range of problems with which patients present as an emergency or urgently, from life-threatening conditions to minor injury and illness, in all age groups from babies to the elderly.

The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) is a 56-bed unit located on the first floor of University College Hospital. Its primary role is to provide rapid definitive assessment, investigation and treatment for patients admitted urgently or as an emergency from the Emergency Department, and/or referred by their GP.
