Blood diseases (clinical haematology) at UCLH

UCLH is one of the largest blood diseases treatment centre in Europe with 98 inpatient beds and a comprehensive day care service. As well as being a regional referral centre, the service is the main treatment centre for patients from north and east London and west Essex.

We employ over 250 specialist nursing staff, nearly 30 consultants and a large multidisciplinary team of expert support staff.

Our service offers diagnosis and treatment for a comprehensive range of blood disorders including cancer and non-cancer conditions. We aim to offer the latest treatments complemented by first-class support services to provide personalised care of the highest quality.

Patients are treated at University College Hospital, Grafton Way Building and the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre in a state-of-the-art environment using pioneering technology. The Cancer Centre is next to the UCL Cancer Institute, making the transition of research findings into patient care quicker.
